HTML Color Test
---<<< Color Combination Test >>>---

Enter below in the 'Foreground color' and 'Background color' fields:

Color names: use a reserved color name which can be found here. Or see the full breakdown of HTML colors on this page. [These links open in a new browser tab.]

RGB values: a color can also be any 6-character combination between ′#000000′ (black) and ′#FFFFFF′ (white). The first character pair represents the range from no red ('00') to full red ('FF'); the second pair represents the range from no green ('00') to full green ('FF'); the third pair represents the range from no blue ('00') to full blue ('FF'). The full RGB (RedGreenBlue) 6-character range represents each of those value range pairs in combination with the other two pairs. [To use RGB values, you must enter seven characters; for example #19A7E4, with each character after the '#' being in the range 0-9 or A-F.]

Both a color name and an RGB value: you can combine color names with RGB values - for example: #1987A2 (foreground) and Purple (background) - or - CadetBlue (foreground) and #DC143C (background).

[Note: invalid color names and/or RGB values will show up as #000000 / Black.]

About

My name is Shimon and I'm a retiree living in the southwestern region of the contiguous United States, roughly midway between Colombia and Alaska. I spent my entire working life in computers, starting with mainframe coding in the 1970s, and ending with web page coding, mostly for fun.  If you want to email me, my address is colortest[at-sign]proton[dot]me.
